Pakistan´s forest fall victim to the taliban

Hello everybody now I will show you my summary about a interesting topic about a article shown on The Guardian and tells about the Pakistan´s forests and how it fall victim of the Taliban.

Swat is an administrative district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province and once it was a luscious valley, now it´s fully of tree stumps.

The talibans finance their movement by the timber, now here is the thing the methods that the talibans use are not the appropriate for a correct harvest because they generate a tremendous damage in the ecosystem.

In Pakistan there is a organization called SAFI and they care about the environment, conserving, managing and developing forests, resducing air pollution and minimizing soil erosion, but now when the talibans take the control the SAFI operations were restricted.

Now one of those trees take around 100 years to grow and the deforestation start in 2005 and now they lost around a 40 – 50 % of the forest. The government of Pakistan wash their hands.

SAFI promote the farm forestry distributing 1.5 million plants among the local resident, residents who are de hardest hit victims of the Taliban´s responsible against forests. And in another hand SAFI host an annual assembly where they teach some conservation methods to reduce the damage.

This topic I think it´s important because is a wide-scale deforestation and need international help.

Go Green

Hello to all my green friends, in this post I share with you my green practices that although there are not a lot in something help to the environment and also write about the things that I like to do in this topic.

When I need to move to a nearby place I prefer to walk or ride a bike, also I promote the utilization of public transport instead our car because in that way we contribute to reduce the carbon footprint. Also try to occupy the less quantity of plastic and change the traditional bulb to the low energy bulb.

In my job we care about the water and I worry about the use of water so I check the water that we use in my job always trying to reduce the use.

The things that I like to do are:

Recycling the trash of my house and I saw the possibility to separate the garbage on separate shelves, and the other thing that I like to do is separate the organic waste to make compost.

I´m one of those who think that a little help that I can do, can generate a mayor change if I share my ideas, because they can do it too. I think Chile hasn´t green politics on education, because if you show to the children how they can help the environment they can make more things when they are adults.

Sports

Hello guys in this post I´m going to check a topic that I like but I don´t practice so much, SPORTS.

To be honest I´m not a good sportsman, it´s not I don´t like it but the truth it´s I´m lazy a little bit, I´m an introvert person too and I´m not so competitive to always been thinking in win a game or someone, when I do some sport I just do it to have fun and laugh or something like that.

I remember when I was a child I practice some sports like for example basketball, volleyball, athletics, but I never was a prominent player. Also there´s always other kids that when they lost they suffer and I don´t liked this behavior because I just play to have fun. Maybe because the competitive sports never has been my thing.

Although many people that relax with a soccer match I prefer to do other things to achieve a level of relaxation.

Anyway I like to exercise, generally I take my bike and go to different places, I climb hills or ride a bike for long distances, and I like jogging too, see always solitary sports.

I hope someday I can practice more sports, and share with a team XD

Rock & Roll!!!

Hello everybody, for this blog I´m going to talk about MUSIC, something that I like so much really and to start I should say that I don´t have a music style, favorite band o solo singer that I like most or represent me because to be honest I like lots of types of music and I hear a music style for a time and then I start to discover other style.

Actually I listen lots of rock music, I like Foo Fighters (that I spect to watch live on Lollapalooza) this guys are a band from Seattle, and his leader is one of the masters of music Dave Grohl, known also as the drummer of Nirvana (other band that I like a lot). Also I like The Strokes that are other rock band but with another type of rock stile more alternative.

On the other hand actually I listen Camila Moreno that is a Chilean singer with a more folk style and she says so much things in her letters. I recommend you the song called Millones.

The other thing that I like to do is to search the predecessors of the bands that I like, for that reason I like singers like Violeta Parra and Victor Jara and bands like The beatles, the clash and Pink Floyd to name a few.

The thing that I like of the music in general is the energy that the songs transmit because those songs can charge you battery when you are tired or sad, I think that´s the reason that I like many music styles.

The Moon and Earth...

To be honest I haven´t had time to watch the news or read in somewhere something related with some discovery or some technological advance, but for this blog I checked some web pages and I found the following news.

A mineral brought to Earth by the first astronauts who traveled to the Moon and specific thought this satellite was discovered in rocks of Australia, more than 1000 million years old, scientists said this Thursday.

The tranquilitita is a mineral that is named for the Sea of Tranquility, a basalt plain on the Moon who was found in 1969.
The mineral "was considered as characteristic of the Moon" until geologists discovered samples in western of Australia, said Birger Rasmussen, an Australian scientist of Curtin University, in Perth.
"There was always this mineral on Earth, these samples didn´t come from the Moon" said the scientist, who published this research in geology.
"This basically means that on the Moon and Earth are developed the same chemical phenomena and processes."

This weird mineral has been found in six different locations in Australia.

Well, I find it interesting because it generates new questions in the constatn search of knowledge of the origin of the planet.
